College Park Christian Preschool is always striving to provide a professional, high-quality, nurturing environment for all of our families. It is because of our desire to always grow and reach higher that in April 2019 CPCP was accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA). AAA is the denominational accrediting authority for all educational institutions operated under the name of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It fosters close cooperation among the educational institutions of the Adventist system and effective working relationships with other educational organizations, accrediting agencies, and government departments of education.
This detailed, voluntary process is designed to assure the church and community that an accredited Adventist school offers quality programs to the youth and provides professional personnel who meet both church and national standards. For a preschool to earn and maintain its accreditation status they must go above and beyond the standards of Missouri childcare licensing. It requires staff and family participation, classroom observations, as well as continuous health and safety checks. To ensure these high standards are being met there are many things they look at including the facility itself for appropriate space, organization, and cleanliness. They must also evaluate and verify that our curriculum is challenging and developmentally appropriate for our classes. When they arrive for the multi-day site visit, they have a long list of items to verify as well as observe classroom routines and teaching styles to ensure there are professional, nurturing staff that create a fun and encouraging learning environment for all of our children.
